Varvara Sellies || Design Director
Founding Sisu in 2020, Varvara’s desire to create an environment that was supportive and inspiring, she ventured out on her own working for clients. During the pandemic, faced with a multitude of challenges aside from starting a new business, Varvara has grown Sisu’s profile and client base over the last few years to something she is quite proud of.
With over 12 years experience in the industry, working on projects ranging from workplace design to retail, experiential and pop-up, her breadth of knowledge in these sectors is what sets her apart. She leads a team who is encouraged to constantly research and seek out strategies and design trends against end user experience.
Ethos: “Functionality is key and I believe should be the driver of good design, but it should not to come at the cost of aesthetic appeal. That is my passion; in response to a problem, need or opportunity to create a user experience that can enhance peoples’ lives and that will inspire.”

Jason Hillsman
Jason brings his graphic design expertise to branding and environmental graphics. His passion for interior and architecture shown in his enthusiasm and creativity to transforming spaces with the aid of graphic work, brand placement, wayfinding and more.

Mikela Janovik
Graduate hailing from Sydney Design School, Mikela has been with Sisu since completing her studies in Interior Design. Her love for colour, texture and balance and a keen eye for detail has made her such an asset to our team. She becomes a better designer with every project that passes and we look forward to seeing her grow and flourish with our team.
Ethos: “Spaces are a metaphore for life; you can inject whatever you want into it to make people feel a certain way, with the use of colour, pattern, and design elements. This is why I love design.”
