Tucked away in the coastal suburb of Narrabeen in Sydney’s Norther Beaches, Colby Lee Beauty Studio’s ethos and aesthetic was inspired by the natural beauty of the beach and coastal surroundings, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere for clients to relax and rejuvenate.

Boasting a range of services including brow, lash, skin and cosmetic injectables, the day spa tranquillity and zen atmosphere makes for a wonderful holistic experience.

The colour palette used is a mix of soft pastel tones and earthy neutrals; the sandy beige and warm whites emulate the shores of the beach, used throughout the studio's interior, from walls to furniture and accessories, creating a cohesive and harmonious aesthetic. Painted floor boards, textured rendered walls, travertine and rattan furniture, and tufted rugs gives “costal chic” and “beachy boho”. The addition of timber and considered retail shopfitting design allows for the highlighting of beauty products and heroes the design elements within the space.

The arched doorways and use of curtain doors soften the space, as the use of texture brings interest to a monochromatic palette. The vast shopfront boasts a tonne of natural light, diffused by the sheer curtains, which provides an ambience that transports client’s to another place.

The studio's layout is designed to optimize functionality and create a smooth flow for clients and staff. The reception area is positioned near the entrance, with a cosy waiting area for clients to relax before their treatments.

The treatment rooms are designed with privacy in mind, with each room featuring its own soothing colour scheme and décor. Indoor plants, fresh flowers and dried botanical arrangements as seen at the reception desk are incorporated to bring in a touch of nature and add a fresh, organic element to the space.
